I started playing in bands when I was about 10 and began working as a live sound engineer when I was 15. When I was 16 I recorded my school teacher's band in his living room in a town called Fish Creek. That was the first album I recorded, I didn't really know what I was doing but I loved it. Later on I ended up playing guitar in that band up in the big smoke, it was awesome.
When I finished high school I moved to Melbourne to study music. I wanted to meet musicians and hopefully play in a band. I went to Box Hill Tafe and then the VCA where I fumbled my way through a bachelor of music performance/improvisation. Some uni friends and I started a band called Saskwatch. I played in that band until it came to an end 10 years later.
During that time I also played in Dorsal Fins, Cloud Control, Little May and a bunch of other bands. I also started writing and recording my own music with the help of a terrific producer named Magoo. He's helped me a heck of a lot over the years with making music, especially with understanding what a producer is.
Since working as a producer, I’ve had the opportunity to work with a lot of great artists like Julia Jacklin, Didirri, Little May, Nat Vazer, Jess Locke, Jim Lawrie, The Hunter Express, Rot TV and a bunch of others.

I have a studio in Collingwood, I call it 'Sauna Studios'. I built the space in 2018 and have been mostly working out of there since, but I'm up for working anywhere.
