I grew up in regional Victoria and I've always had a fascination with how things sound.

I've been playing in bands since I was 10 and I've worked as some sort of sound engineer since I was 15. When I was in high school I recorded my school teacher's band in his living room in a town called Fish Creek. That was the first album I made, I had no idea what I was doing but I loved everything about it.

When I finished high school I moved to Melbourne to study music. I went to Box Hill Tafe and then the VCA where I fumbled my way through a bachelor of music performance/improvisation. Some uni friends and I started a band called Saskwatch and I played in that band until it came to an end 10 years later.

Other bands I've played in/still play in are Cloud Control, Dorsal Fins, Stepmother, Phil Jamieson and a bunch of others.

I got really stuck into recording music in the 2010s and have been fortunate to work with a lot of great artists like Little May, Jess Locke, Didirri, Julia Jacklin, Nat Vazer, Jim Lawrie, Rot TV, The Hunter Express, Stephanie Cherote, and others.

I have a little studio in Collingwood, I call it Rat Shack. The idea behind it was to have a low budget space that doesn't sound shitty. I love working there, but I'm also happy working pretty much anywhere.
